Mrs. Dixon - Biography
LaToya Dixon is a dedicated and passionate educator who has been serving students, families, and communities since 1996. With a strong commitment to teaching and learning, Mrs. Dixon has held various impactful roles throughout her career in the Palm Beach County School District, continuously striving to inspire and empower young minds.
A product of the very system she now enriches, LaToya proudly graduated from Santaluces High School before furthering her education at the University of South Florida, where she honed her skills in education. She then pursued her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lynn University, solidifying her commitment to educational excellence.
Throughout her illustrious career, Mrs. Dixon has embraced diverse roles, including serving as a first-grade and third-grade teacher, a Reading Recovery Teacher, and an SAI Teacher. Her journey of continuous growth led her to assume leadership positions, including Assistant Principal roles at Galaxy Elementary and Village Academy. Notably, she also served as the Center Director and Program Planner for the Village Academy Head Start Program, highlighting her versatile expertise in educational administration.
With an unwavering enthusiasm for the transformative power of education, Mrs. Dixon currently serves as the Principal of Village Academy, a role she has held since 2015. Her leadership is characterized by a deep-seated commitment to fostering a culture of learning and empowerment among students, families, and the broader community.
